Session Playing

Juliana has extensive experience recording sessions both in the studio and remotely for TV, adverts, film and albums, and has played notated parts for live theatre and opera. She is an extremely competent sight reader, can play from notation, midi parts or can improvise/write her own parts.

Notable past session work has included playing recorders for Disney+, Sky TV, British film The Thing With Feathers starring Benedict Cumberbatch, various TV adverts, and played recorders for the Royal Shakespeare Company (which included recording a CD, a several month run of shows, and a worldwide cinema broadcast). 

She has access to a full range of recorders from sopranino to contrabass, and a collection of professional high and low whistles. She has a professional home recording setup and uses Logic Pro. Please contact her on julianajoyday@gmail.com for bookings.
